During the weekend 1.-3. April 2022 #2 Endurocamp concentration took place in the BMT Brezno area.
The weather was rainy, cold, and sometimes snowy. However, the "Ednuro" riders were not scared by the bad weather forecast and came to try driving in difficult conditions, in which they learned to benefit from appropriate driving technique and track selection.
Endurocamp was divided into 3 days, Friday to Sunday, with the fact that the rider could choose the days he wants to participate. The center of concentration was the BMT Brezno sports recreation area, near Peťa Belek, where the facilities are exactly what the riders and their companions need.
The participants of the training camp had available accommodation right next to the track, all-day access to the buffet, a hot, tasty lunch and in the evening after training a "wap" to wash the motorbikes, plus a guarded garage. Facilities and equipment that are rarely seen in our region, and we want to thank Peť Belek for that.
SMF riders could also take part in the enduro camp under favorable conditions, Daniel Dvoran and Lukáš Volner took advantage of this invitation, who were not deterred by the rainy weather and joined the other riders. A total of 21 motorbikes of various displacements took part in the training session.
A change compared to the 1st Endurocamp from Malacie was the instruction on track construction, which was supposed to serve as a practical guide for riders on how to prepare a training track at home. The riders themselves were also involved in this type of training. Therefore, we hope that the guys took something new with them that will help them when training on home tracks.
Of course, we didn't forget to measure the 1st round for time and thus keep the driving "by eye". It is necessary to teach the riders to ride more with their eyes and choose ideal tracks with balance, not to simply ride like geese in a row.
As we had rain every day, we had no shortage of deep ruts, lots of mud and slippery surfaces. Nowadays, a "modern" rider will say to himself that he will not ride in the rain, so he will stay at home, but those who did not get scared and came to Endurocamp #2 did not regret it at the end of the day, they learned to control the motorcycle even on a slippery surface and found out that such demanding training will give them 2 times more than dry training.
The organizers tried to explain to the riders that even such weather is not harmful and such an experience will move them a lot in terms of riding. And so it happened. It didn't take long for the riders to get used to the wet conditions themselves. Riders began to understand the advice of head coach Radek Matoška, how to choose tracks, how to brake where and when, how to adjust the motorcycle in the mud, etc. That the advice was accurate and helpful was confirmed by the measured times, or the feelings of the riders themselves.
We also want to thank the riders for their participation in this way. Thank you and we hope to see you at the next Endurocamp concentration soon.
The organizer of the camp would like to thank the partners for the technical security and smooth functioning of the Endurocamp, namely the Slovak Motorcycle Federation for supporting young riders, Moto Gregy Plyn, PZ Plus, Remes and KTM-Racing Púchov.
