We took part in the International Motocross Doubles Race - Plecháče 2024, which is specially designed for old Czechoslovak-made motorcycles. This race is very popular and difficult to get to because the interest is huge. However, we have reserved places, since we have been participating since the very beginning and we are the only representatives for Slovakia.
The race featured more than 50 drivers who drove continuously for two hours and had to change after every two laps. The weather did not favor us at first; it still rained at night and in the morning, which led the organizers to postpone the start an hour later. However, this step helped and in the end the race took place in good weather.
The racing was perfect, with an amazing atmosphere and great support from the spectators who gathered all along the course to cheer on the veteran riders. We managed to achieve the fourth fastest time, namely 3:20. After challenging battles on the track, of which there was no limit, we persevered to the finish line and finished in 6th place overall, which is a great success in such strong competition.
It is also worth mentioning the fact that we had no problems with the motorcycles this year. Our machines lasted the entire plant without any technical failures, which is a big positive for us.
