On the 9th - 10th of August, the Endurocamp concentration was held for the third time in Budimír, organized in cooperation with Vlado Greg, the manager of the track and the organizer of the Cassovia Cup. Vlado did a great job again this year – he prepared the track, mowed the depot, leveled the motocross track, made forest sections accessible and helped us ensure the smooth running of the entire event.
On Friday, we started with a timed lap for the eyes (without previous training), when the riders crossed the track only once. The goal was to memorize the track and then set the best possible time. Based on the times, the riders could analyze their mistakes and try to eliminate them during the day. After the timed lap, we set off and spent the rest of the day training on the track, which was mostly in the woods, but also included a motocross section. During lunch we had a workshop on setting up telescopes. At the end of the day we had one more timed lap to see if we were able to capitalize on what we had learned during the day. Everyone managed to achieve a better time compared to the morning rounds.
A different track awaited us on Saturday. The forest sections were now much faster, and extreme motocross was added in the form of crossing the bars. Overall, the lap was faster and smoother than on Friday, when the track was more technical and more winding. The weather was kind to us, it was cloudy and pleasantly blowing, which allowed us to fully concentrate on the ride. No one was injured during both days, which is especially important in training.
The enduro camp turned out to be excellent again. We are happy for the large participation and we are already looking forward to the next Endurocamp, which will take place in September in Gelnica.
