The starting point of our journey was the BMW Motorrad store in Žilina, where we met on Friday morning. After the initial discussion, we went in the direction of Prievidza, with the first stop being the traditional kitchen at Kúria na Tály. Here we enjoyed delicious garlic in a loaf of bread and traditional bryndza dumplings with bacon, which gave us energy for the next part of the journey.
With charged batteries, we continued on, while we did not miss the opportunity for a short coffee break at Štrbské Pleso. With a smile on our face, we continued driving and arrived at Vyšné Ružbachy Spa, where we had booked a hotel. Our route was approximately 280 km.
After arriving at the hotel, we were able to enjoy a quick wellness procedure and then enjoy a great dinner. The fun and good mood didn't stop even late in the evening.
The next day we went on an excursion to the Duklian battlefield and the Dukla memorial, which was very educational for us. We were caught in the rain during lunch, but found shelter at a roadside rest stop where we could rest for a warm lunch and wait for the bad weather to pass.
During the day we enjoyed beautiful roads, but near the finish line, one participant ran out of fuel. He stayed with instructor and the other continued with the main group to the agreed place. Finally we all reunited and continued to the hotel.
In the evening, we could relax in warm saunas, mineral water and a delicious dinner to the sounds of live piano music.
On Sunday morning, we went on the last stage of our journey, we passed through Muráň and stopped for a great ice cream in Hnúšt. Our trip culminated with a joint lunch in a restaurant behind Zvolen.
This year we enjoyed not only the beautiful natural scenery, but also the company of other passionate riders on various motorcycle models, such as BMW R 1300 GS, BMW S 1000 XR, BMW F 800 GS and KTM 1090 Adventure R, together we went through beautiful parts of Slovakia and created we are memories of an unforgettable weekend.
