An individual on-road course for beginners, designed to help new bikers master the basics and acquire the necessary skills for safe riding. Three enthusiasts signed up for the course: Nikol on KTM Duke 125, Radovan on Aprilia RS660 and Rasťo on Yamaha TENERE T700. Instructor Radek, rode a BMW F800GS.
All three riders were beginners, so we took the time at the beginning of the course to properly set up their bikes according to their needs and physical parameters. Technical preparation is key to a comfortable and safe ride, so we made sure everything is set up perfectly.
After the technical part, we started with basic driving techniques on a closed area near Považská Bystrica. We focused on basic maneuvers so that the riders acquire the necessary skills in a controlled environment. As soon as their riding skills improved, we packed up and hit the road to continue learning important riding techniques in real world conditions.
We focused on correct entry into corners, effective braking, correct sitting and posture on the motorcycle, ideal track and inclines. These skills are essential for a safe and smooth ride and our riders have gradually mastered them.
During the day, we took a break for a tasty lunch, which we ended with a coffee, and then we continued driving. We ended up driving almost two hours longer than we had originally planned.
It doesn't matter that we exceeded the planned time - we all enjoyed the course very much. No one fell and everyone took home a lot of experiences and valuable experiences. This day was a great start to the world of motorbikes for our beginners and we believe that the acquired skills will give them the necessary confidence on their next journeys.
