Preparing for the International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) 2025, which will take place this year in Bergamo, Italy, requires more than just regular riding. The six-day enduro marathon, considered the Olympics of enduro, will test the physical condition, technical readiness and psychological resilience of each rider. Adam Kollár from Považská Bystrica will make his debut at this prestigious event this year, representing Slovakia in the junior team. He is preparing for his first start with maximum seriousness, under the supervision of experienced instructor Radek Matoška, a multiple Slovak champion in enduro and motocross, who has participated in ISDE 15 times, which makes him one of the most experienced Slovak riders in the history of this event.
The training took place on a demanding and ideally structured track in Lietavská Svinná, which by its nature simulates the conditions of ISDE-type races. Steep climbs, technical descents, variable terrain and an extreme test with blocks, tractor tires and artificial obstacles gave Adam the opportunity to practice not only his riding skills, but also the right strategy for distributing his strength during the day. We set out a special training route, where timed sections, test simulations and timed runs alternated, all according to a real race scenario. Throughout the day, we analyzed the technique, worked on improving stability, confidence in corners and driving efficiency in fatigue phases.
Adam decided on a lightweight motocross version of the Husqvarna TC 125, which suits him in terms of maneuverability. Radek provided the instruction on an electric Stark VARG MX with an output of 80 horsepower, which in extreme conditions proved to be an ideal tool for demonstrating technical elements. The weather was also an advantage, after the previous rains the surface remained soft, but not slippery. The surface resembled plasticine, thanks to which it held the track perfectly and provided a certain grip in key sections.
For Adam, it was his first intensive full-day preparation for this type of event, and it turned out that his commitment, physical endurance, and adaptability to unfamiliar terrain are at a very good level. However, ISDE is not just about speed – the biggest challenge is to survive six days in the saddle, in full concentration, without serious mistakes or technical problems. In the case of a debutant, the goal is clear: to reach the finish line and take away experience that cannot be gained anywhere else.
Our training is not just about showing someone where to go. We focus on riders comprehensively, systematically and with a professional approach that is unique in Slovakia in this segment. As the only team in Slovakia, we have certified trainers of the Slovak Motorcycle Federation of the 1st and 2nd level, not only for motocross or enduro, but across the entire riding spectrum, from beginners to internationally active athletes.
What we do is not a hobby, but honest work built on experience from hundreds of events at home and abroad. And since Adam also takes his goal seriously, we are glad that he chose us for this journey.
