Qatar FIM Women’s Road Racing Training Camp

Qatar FIM Women's Road Racing Training Camp

In 2015, we had the opportunity to participate in the Qatar FIM Women's Road Racing Training Camp, held at the iconic Losail International Circuit in Qatar. This several-day training camp was organized by the FIM (International Motorcycle Federation) in cooperation with Bike Promotion and BMW Motorrad and was aimed at supporting women in motorsport.

Kemo provided a unique opportunity for 21 female riders from 10 countries to improve their skills on the 5.4 km circuit, which is famous for its night MotoGP races. The instructor team, which included experienced professionals such as Nina Prinz, Shelina Moreda, Simon Crafar, Jürgen Fuchs and Radek Matoška, provided the participants with valuable advice in the field of riding technique, correct posture, working with a motorcycle and racing strategy.

The camp also included theoretical workshops that covered important topics such as mental and physical preparation, nutrition and sponsoring. This program was intended not only for professional female racers, but also for women who wanted to improve their driving skills on the racing circuit. The participants had the opportunity to use their own motorcycles, while some had the opportunity to train on BMW S 1000 RR motorcycles with the provision of technical support directly from BMW Motorrad engineers.

This event was a significant step in the promotion of women's motorsport and offered a wonderful opportunity for the development of future female racers at an international level.
