Track Days 2 – Circuit riding in Brno

The second week of August belonged to circuit riding in Brno. At the event Track Days 2, organized by the German agency TRIPLE M, brought together hundreds of riders from different countries to enjoy two days full of speed, adrenaline, and professional organization.

The weather was perfect from start to finish. Sunny days with temperatures between 25 and 27°C provided perfect conditions, neither too hot nor too cold, exactly the conditions you want to experience on the circuit. Not a drop of rain, no compromises, just dry asphalt and endless space to ride.

What surprised us all was the sheer scale of the event. The organizers from TRIPLE M managed to handle an incredible 300 riders, divided into five groups. Most of us were used to a maximum of 240–250 participants, but here the precision of the German organization showed itself. The timetable was set so precisely that no one felt chaotic or had to wait unnecessarily.

Despite the large number of riders, the course was surprisingly smooth. No serious crashes, no medical visits, just a few red flags in individual groups, which were rather exceptional and quickly resolved. In the context of such a huge event, this is truly admirable.

The atmosphere of the second day was further enhanced by two accompanying races:

  • Just for Fun Race – a classic mass start from the grid, eight sharp laps that showed who had the strongest nerves and the cleanest track.

  • Beginner Race – designed for less experienced riders. Here, there was an introductory lap first, and immediately after crossing the finish line, a flying start followed, which brought a new and very intense experience to many.

A great community of riders from Slovakia and the Czech Republic has formed on the circuit. There were about 20 to 25 of us there, which ensured that there was no shortage of familiar faces or good spirits in the pits. It is these moments, when you sit down after a ride, discuss corner passes or share tips, that make such events even more valuable.

A special highlight was the opportunity to test the BMW S 1000 RR and BMW M 1000 RR motorcycles, either for a single ride or for the whole day. The machines were brought directly from BMW Motorrad in Munich as official test bikes, which was a unique experience for everyone who wanted to see how a factory superbike behaves on a race track.

Track Days 2 once again proved that well-organized circuit riding can work even with a huge number of participants. Perfect weather, excellent organization, zero health complications and an atmosphere that brought riders from different countries together, all made this two-day event an unforgettable experience.
