Enduro has many forms – some people imagine steep climbs and rocks as big as refrigerators , others gentle forest trails that wind through the countryside like a fairy tale. During the three- day trip with RMoto Academy, we enjoyed a little bit of everything . In beautiful nature, far from busy civilization , we created a space where everyone could take a break from “ their ordinary world ” , improve their riding skills and experience something extraordinary . The riding was legal, on properly permitted routes , in good company and with an emphasis on safety and quality of teaching .
The setting was a remote mountain hut in Gelnica, with no mobile signal, just the roar of the forest and the muffled rumble of motorbikes. It was this environment – quiet, authentic, without any distracting elements – that created the ideal conditions for concentration and truly experiencing the present moment. No obligations, just enduro, forest, fire and people who love the same thing.
The rides were thoughtfully designed so that everyone could find their own pace . The group included riders of different levels – from recreational to experienced – and that is why we adapted each section . An individual approach was key . Sometimes we went faster , other times we stopped, explained the riding technique, tried out new skills and moved one step further . The weather played its own game – from sun to rain to ideal “plasticine ” conditions with excellent grip – and showed us that even wet and muddy conditions can be excellent teachers .
The experiences didn't stop at just riding, though. We had lunch at a local restaurant with our friend Peta , who welcomed us despite the fact that we were walking in wet and muddy enduro boots . In the afternoon we continued riding , and in the evening a hot tub , a glass of wine, and a view of the hills awaited us . Exactly those moments when everything slows down and you just notice how good you feel.
A special experience was the test ride on the Stark Varg MX (80HP) electric motorcycle, which was lent to us by MotoDM from Považská Bystrica - the official distributor of this Swedish brand , manufactured in Spain . Not only our instructors , but also clients could try the motorcycle - in demanding terrain , in a safe and controlled environment. With an output of 80 horsepower, a torque of 938 Nm at the rear wheel and a weight of only 118 kg , this motorcycle offers a completely new riding experience . It is a technically sophisticated machine with top - notch components such as a KYB chassis, Brembo brakes with a rear brake disc from Galfer .
In practice, we were particularly surprised by the smooth power delivery without delay, the switchable driving modes even while riding , and the fact that the Stark can be adjusted for every level of rider – from the wild 125cc 2-stroke mode to the brutal 500 4-stroke tank. Moreover , thanks to the ability to limit the power , it is also suitable for A2 driver 's license holders . Of course, it also has its "buts" – for example, it lacks a stand, which is slightly limiting in the forest (however, it can be purchased as a spare part , which the enduro version includes in the series). The battery life varies depending on the intensity – at full power it lasts about an hour and twenty minutes , at a moderate pace we managed to ride for about six hours . For most hobby riders, this is completely sufficient .
In those three days we took away more than just muddy things. It was a school, a challenge , fun and relaxation all in one. A place where the right people met and where riding took on a new dimension . Rides like this are not just about technique. They are about slowing down from the everyday hustle and bustle, about the joy of movement, about experiences that will remain deeply in the memory. And that is exactly what we want to organize . Again and again.
